Why women buy black high heels: the guide for everything

To look taller, slimmer, sexier, of course – why else?

A survey in Australia (but we cannot find the original study – unfortunately but bring it here, because it is interesting) found that 80 per cent of women would wear stilettos or strappy heels on a first date.

Liz Avery’s collection (lady in picture above) of ‘about 30′ pairs of shoes puts her in the top bracket of an ownership survey.

The 21-year-old owns “about 30″ pairs of heels, but she is by no means a rarity.A survey of more than 450 Australian women found:

– 32 % owned between 26 and 50 pairs of shoes, while

– 31 % owned between 11 and 25 pairs.

Of those surveyed,

66 % said buying shoes was better than eating chocolate, while almost

50% of the women surveyed said high heels were the best way to boost sex appeal

60% said black was the color of choice, while

16 % favored red and

7 % preferred pink.

Factors to consider

So while women like shoes and use stiletto heels to boost their sex appeal (at least Australian ones it seems ), there are a few more things marketers should not forget.

Customers have access to more information than ever. Nevertheless, they also seem to have less time and they do want to be given a choice ever more (e.g., price range of high heels and quality of shoes).

Today’s time-starved and data-gorged consumers or clients want to be treated with respect and expect to be given what they want faster than ever.

So any company that wants to succeed must identify their customers, watch their clients, talk to them and listen to clients. As important, watch and listen to what clients tell other customers on the Internet and on social networks including blogs.

Customers want products and services that serve a need and a desire. Hence, women do not buy black-heeled shoes, they purchase products that make them look taller, slimmer and sexier. If a pair of sneakers would give them the same benefits, women would most certainly buy such shoes.

Besides

Women should stick to shoes with heels less than 4cm if they want to avoid a trip to hospital, due to having worn fashionable footwear.

And no, high heels and alcohol do not mix.
